Learn more about the Swiss Offset Program
11/25/2008
With respect to armaments, Switzerland strongly
depends on foreign sources. Swiss
armament policy states that when the Swiss Army procures armaments abroad, the
foreign manufacturer is generally required to compensate 100% of the contracted
amount. It’s a form of reciprocity - if
your company is involved in the manufacture of armaments for Switzerland, one
way fulfill your compensation requirement is via "offset". Offset means the foreign manufacturer must
place orders from Swiss industry. Since
GF AgieCharmilles is a Swiss company, purchasing machines and products from GF
AgieCharmilles counts towards the offset.
