Preventive Maintenance Programs

Charmilles Technologies would like to thank you for giving us an opportunity to provide you with a Preventive Maintenance Program on your Charmilles CNC EDM machines. We believe that preventive maintenance is one of the most important aspects for optimizing up time and performance, therefore increasing your productivity.

Charmilles Technologies offers a variety of programs to best suit your needs:

  • One-visit per year program
  • Two-visits per year program
  • Four-visits per year program
  • Secured service call program

Some important benefits of detailed preventive maintenance include:

  • early detection of impending failures
  • increased machine life
  • provide the best possible machine performance (speed, accuracy and surface finish)
  • highest resale/trade-in value due to documented maintenance records

 

A detailed report of the machine condition, test results and recommendations will be provided to you for your records at the end of each visit.

Conditions:

  • On-site time to perform the preventive maintenance tasks by one skilled Service Engineer takes approximately 16 to 24 site hours per machine if proper preventive maintenance has been previously performed. Actual site time will depend on the condition of the machine at the time this program is performed.
  • During the actual preventive maintenance tasks, the machine will be considered out of use until the tasks are completed.
  • If there are other tasks needed beyond the normal Preventive Maintenance Program, a separate service call must be coordinated and normal service rates will apply.
  • Charmilles Technologies shall not be held responsible for any damage resulting from the lack of preventive maintenance on any machine.
  • Charmilles Technologies will make a good faith effort to promptly complete the preventive maintenance tasks and leave the machine in a state better than before the visit.
  • Charmilles Technologies shall not be responsible for any future consequential damages assumed as a result of the preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Dates and times of the Preventive Maintenance Program shall be mutually decided and agreed upon by Charmilles Technologies and the customer at least one month prior to the visit.
  • If for any reason, the agreed upon dates or times cannot be met by either party, a one-week notification period must be presented to the associated party and a rescheduling date must be mutually agreed upon.
  • It is recommended that Charmilles Technologies approved parts are used in the machine.
  • If a Preventive Maintenance Program with parts is ordered, only Charmilles Technologies approved parts will be used.
